On the 02nd June 2017 Barley WI will be hosting their annual village show The event will be from 1pm on Sunday 02nd July, tea, coffee and cakes will also be on offer. Come down and visit the Village Hall over the weekend of 24th and 25th June to see the Pendle Patchers Quilting and Patchwork show from 10:00 to 16:00. We will have practical demonstrations, a sales table and plenty of quilting on display. Also available is tea, coffee and cakes, all this at only £2 admission. This is sure to be a great weekend.
This Saturday the Village Hall will be open from 9:30am where you can register for the pub walk and collect your T-shirt if you have pre registered. Please note entry on the day may be more than the £12.50 pre sale price. The Barley division of the WI has been causing quite a stir of late creating a range of Bra-skets down on the village green. The ladies have turned their bras in to hanging baskets as part of a national sustainable gardening competition run by the WI which aims to show that plants can be grown almost anywhere!
