Barley Village Hall is situated in the picturesque village of Barley, nestling in the shadow of Pendle Hill. The area is very popular with walkers and ramblers, there being many varied routes that can be taken around Pendleside.
Barley Village Hall was built in 1884 as a Methodist chapel. In 1910, a new chapel was built in the village, and in 1942 it was decided to combine in the newer building. Barley Parish Council were able to purchase the building for use as a village hall. Over the past 50 years, the building has been well maintained and facilities have been continuously improved to provide a high quality venue for the local community.
A range of social and fund-raising events are run by the hall committee, and the hall is regularly hired out to individuals and organisations to assist in covering running costs, and provide a hub for local organisations.
