A few months ago the Committee decided to hold a new night at the Hall, our very first curry night. We thought we’d of been happy selling 30 tickets and ecstatic at our capacity of 50. So, we were overwhelmed when we sold 97 tickets! The tickets sold out faster than Peter Kay’s recent release of tickets!!

The food was supplied by Nelson’s very own Spice of India and Shammy sorted out an excellent feast for us all. The evening was a fundraiser for the Hall as we’ve had to invest quite a bit recently in a new oil tank, boiler and some flooring work. We would have been happy raising a few hundred pounds so we were made up when we made almost £1,200 for the Hall!

From all the Committee we would like to thank all our guests, volunteers on the night and raffle prize donators. A great night was had by all and our next theme night will be around March time. We will keep you posted!
